From South Africa to Milan and Paris Fashion Week
In a world-first, our consumer range, called LEGACY will be unveiled before a global audience of fashion experts and influencers at a premiere event in Milan on 1 March. Then, on 9 March, our game-changing Fashionable Banking Staff Collection will be showcased at Paris Fashion Week 2025.
Who has ever heard of a bank gracing the international catwalks? But that’s the thing about having an audacity to believe. Challenges are just things to overcome. “Impossible” becomes “I’m possible”. This is a bank for go-getters, trendsetters, disrupters, and pioneers. That is our heritage. This is our future.
The power of transformation
Last year, we refreshed our corporate identity to reflect the growth and evolution of African Bank, and to honour our audacious heritage. This journey included the creation of a new look for our frontline ambassadors, our dedicated Branch consultants. After an intensive search for the right creative partner, we decided to collaborate with highly sought-after fashion house Khosi Nkosi.
Our partnership with Khosi Nkosi is a striking manifestation of our vision and the audacity to believe. By the time they heard about our search for design collaborators, they had just two weeks to deliver a creative concept. They were short on cash. However, our story resonated with them and inspired them to overcome their obstacles. So, they sold their car to buy the necessary material and created what would become our signature look. And their audacity to believe paid off. Their company has since grown from 14 employees to 40 and their work has created opportunities for other small businesses who are now part of our Fashionable Banking eco-system.
Without audacity, there would be no African Bank
This is the transformative growth and support for entrepreneurs that our founders envisioned. How fitting it is that, in the 50th anniversary year of African Bank, the dream that has refused to die is flourishing. There can no longer be any doubt that this is a bank that backs you.
Our new staff collection was designed to create an impression, and that’s exactly what it did. So much so, that many of our customers wanted to wear our brand as well. With that, the African Bank LEGACY Collection was born, allowing our customers to wear the brand of the bank that was built for them.
This bespoke fashion range signifies that you are part of our growing African Bank family. It says that we back you and your audacity to stand out from the crowd.
