Debt investor information

The new African Bank Limited has listed debt instruments, listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), the London Stock Exchange (LSE) , as well as the Swiss Stock Exchange (SIX). Under this section you will find relevant information in respect of the programmes and instruments listed on the JSE under the Banks Domestic Medium Term Note Programme (DMTN) and in respect of programmes and instruments listed on the LSE and SIX under the Bank’s Euro Medium Term Note Programme (EMTN).

Standard & Poor’s Rating Services (S&P) have assigned a ‘B+/B’ global scale rating and a ‘zaBB-/zaB’ national scale rating to African Bank. The outlook is negative, reflecting S&P’s negative economic risk perception of the South African banking system. This rating also applies to the Bank’s EMTN and all notes issued under that programme which are listed either on the LSE or the SIX. The DMTN and all notes issued under that programme have not been rated.
